The Books Journey has grown and evolved many times throughout the years since its first conception. Like a child, The Books Journey and the inspiration grew into its own convictions.
As a small child I have always dreamed of helping people overcome difficult situations. Most times were just childish heroic fantasies but others were reactions to real people being hurt by fires, car accidents and violence. I remember day dreaming of how I would come to their rescue and drag people from a fire or an automobile accident.
As I grew older, I complimented my dream over the next 6 years as a member of the US Army as a medical clinician / ambulance driver and flight paramedic.
Shortly after my tour of duty ended, a tragedy occurred. My 5 year old daughter Jamielee was struck and killed by a drunk driver. Our family was devastated. I now knew a pain no parent should have to know. I found myself lost and without understanding and comfort. If only there was someone who reached out to me and told me that they understood and that my family and I will be OK.
As time went on and life took its many turns, some good and some frightening, I found myself able to write poetry. It brought a relief from the pain for me and as I wrote, other people would mention how the write has helped them understand their situation. This was my new way to help others. I would write of my pain and share how I was able to survive the pain.
Soon I met Kimberly Dawn Sanders. She and I together laid the new foundations and path The Books Journey will take. Together we instituted the concept and as a gift of love, Kimberly gave me the tools to complete the mission for The Books Journey.
Today, The Books Journey will go forth and share the inspirations of millions to millions. People helping people one heart at a time!

I have no idea where these books will travel to, and how many lives they will touch during their passage, but one thing I know for sure is that this definitely comes at a time when the world needs the inspiration and hope to stand together as ONE. Every once in a while, the things in our lives do seem to come full circle, but one thing is certain…a circle never really ends. The lives that will be changed by the words someone else has written will diverge out, like the branches of the Tree Of Life, to touch other souls and continue the journey."
